It’s important that wedding photographers and videographers co-ordinate with each other on a wedding day as they often capture the same part of the day such as the ceremony or the first dance.
If I haven’t met a videographer before, I always like to introduce myself to them beforehand so we can have a chat about our priorities on the day. It’s important to me that your videographer can capture all the key moments for you whilst also making sure that we both get what we need in terms of shots.
On the day, I’ll keep an eye out for the videographer to make sure I don’t block one of their cameras during the ceremony and also make sure they have time to capture any key things they need for the video such as a cover shot.
When booking a videographer it’s important that you book one who has a similar relaxed, candid style to myself.
I cover about 90% of the day as it happens with minimum posing, so you wouldn’t have the same experience if you book a videographer whose style involves lots of posed shots.
I’ve worked with lots of videographers over the years but I would thoroughly recommend these guys who I’ve worked with many times. They produce stunning work and are totally professional both in the quality of equipment they use and their approach to filming weddings.
