Elopement Wedding Photography Ayrshire Scotland
As an elopement wedding photographer in Scotland I’d love to hear about your plans. Very often couples choose to have their elopement wedding in Scotland as it has a particular meaning for them.
Other couples are just looking for somewhere fun and romantic to escape to. What is important for me is to capture your wedding naturally as it unfolds, so you have time to relax and enjoy the day.
Elopement weddings are very well suited to my style of wedding photography, which is candid and natural. I like to tell the story of your day rather than choreograph everything. In order to do this, I like to get to know couples before the wedding and find out a little bit more about their plans for the day. If you are coming from abroad and aren’t able to meet up prior to the wedding then we can do this via Skype or Facetime. Meeting a few days beforehand also works if you are arriving a few days ahead of the wedding.
On the day itself, I’ll be clicking away quietly in the background for a lot of the time but occasionally I’ll suggest a few locations for some shots where we can create some special moments for photographs.

Please see below an elopement wedding which I photographed at Sorn Castle in Ayrshire for Carrie and Neil, who had come over to Scotland from the USA. Neil had been born in Scotland and his family had connections in Ayrshire, so the location had special meaning for them. It was also a very intimate wedding with only about 25 guests which made for a lovely relaxed atmosphere. They arrived a few days prior to the wedding, so we had a chance to meet up and chat about their plans for day. This allowed me to focus in on particular moments which had special significance for them, creating timeless elopement wedding photography for them to cherish.
