Last month was a very special day for me as a wedding photographer as it was the first wedding I’d photographed in over a year due to Covid.
It was also very special for Georgia & Scott who were getting married at Enterkine Country House Hotel in Ayrshire.
Rather than cancel their whole wedding and move it to another date as many couples have done, they decided to get married with just 2 witnesses on the date they had arranged and then have their reception next year. It was the perfect solution.

Even though many people couldn’t attend the wedding in person (everyone was able to watch online), it turned out to be a really special day.
As a wedding photographer, it still had all the key moments for me to capture. As usual, I like to capture most of the day naturally, as it happens, so I took lots of candid shots of Scott and his best man arriving and then waiting with the celebrant for Georgia to arrive.
I was able to get some natural shots of Georgia as she arrived with her Dad and bridesmaid. Due to limits on the numbers attending, her Dad had to drop her off outside and then watch the wedding online.
After the wedding itself, I took some shots of George and Scott with the Best Man and Bridesmaid, encouraging them to just be themselves and enjoy the moment.
Again, even without lots of guests and an evening reception to look forward to it was a lovely moment. I’m really looking forward to seeing everyone again next year for the reception!
