My approach to photographing weddings is very relaxed and natural. It’s important to me to tell the story of your special day as you remember it rather than stage everything.
For much of the day I’ll take a range of candid shots, blending into the background so you’ll hardly know I’m there. Occasionally, I’ll set something up but I’ll always do this in a way which feels relaxed and natural.
Before a wedding I always like to meet up beforehand so we can get to know each other and have a chat about your plans for the day. After this I do a recce of the location so I can get a feel for it and decide on some of the best areas to use for photographs. Once I’ve decided on that, my focus is on capturing your special day and looking for those natural emotions and moments which are unique to you.
